The Team Lead – Canadian Accounts & Taxation will be responsible to manage and overseeing accounting operations for Canada-based clients. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Canadian accounting & Taxation principles, team leadership, and client communication. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Technical & Operational Responsibilities:
Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
Perform bank and account reconciliations.
Prepare monthly and annual financial statements.
Handle payroll processing, payroll accounting and compliance
Manage multiple engagements simultaneously and deliver signature-ready outputs.
GST and HST preparation, Working experience with tax forms T1, T2
Client-Facing Responsibilities:
Communicate effectively with Canadian CPA firms and end clients.
Direct interaction with clients and managing client communications.
Review monthly and yearly bookkeeping/accounting projects.
Reviewing the compliance projects
Ensure timely completion of projects and reprioritize tasks as needed.
Leadership Responsibilities:
Supervise and lead a team, creating an atmosphere of trust and collaboration.
Oversee team performance and ensure quality deliverables.
Controlling attrition and motivate, encourage team members to maintain high morale and productivity.

Education, Skills & Experience
- 5+ Years of experience.
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in accounting.
- CA or CA inter or CPA
- Technical Skills:
Accounting Software: QBO (QuickBooks Online), QBD (QuickBooks Desktop), Xero, Dext, Hubdoc, Wagepoint, Payworks, Caseware _ Profile, CCH, Taxprep
Excel Expertise: Advanced Excel (HLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
Accounting Knowledge: Accrual and cash basis accounting.
Financial Reporting: Preparation of monthly and yearly end financial statements.
Year End Engagements: Having experience working on year-end compilation Engagement report, review engagement report, Audit engagement reports
Reconciliation: Bank and account reconciliation.
Sales Tax: GST,QST and HST preparation and filing
Payroll: Payroll accounting, payroll software, payroll run, PD7A, T4, T4A, T5 and Payroll remittances
Industry-Specific: experience working with multiple industries
Forms Knowledge: Familiarity with all accounting & Taxation forms T1, T2, T3, T5013, T3010

Shift Timings:
- Indian Summer: 3:30 PM IST - 12:30 AM IST
- Indian Winter: 4:30 PM IST - 1:30 AM IST
Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹900,000.00 per year
