. Pre-Admission & Admission
- Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage and TPA (Third-Party Administrator) limits, and collect required advances.
- Pre-Authorization: Coordinate with the hospital’s insurance desk for pre-approvals regarding cashless treatments and surgeries.
- Documentation: Collect and accurately record all patient demographic, personal, and medical history details.
2. During the Patient Stay
- Charge Capturing: Consolidate billable items from various departments, including room rent, pharmacy, laboratory investigations, and procedures.
- Interim Billing: Track running costs and issue interim bills or advance requests to patients/attendants to avoid massive lump sums.
- Cross-Department Coordination: Work closely with nursing stations, doctors, and pharmacy staff to verify services rendered and clarify any billing discrepancies.
3. Discharge & Claim Processing
- Bill Finalization: Review case sheets, treatment charts, and discharge summaries to prepare the final, accurate inpatient bill.
- Insurance Settlement: Submit final claims, along with necessary medical documents, to insurance companies or TPAs for processing and settlement.
- Patient Settlement: Process the final discharge by calculating the balance after insurance deductions and collecting the remaining cash, card, or digital payments from the patient.
4. Revenue Cycle & Reporting
- Query Resolution: Professionally explain bills to patients or their families, addressing their doubts or disputes regarding specific charges.
- Follow-Ups: Follow up on delayed or rejected insurance claims and coordinate the appeals process for denied reimbursements.
- Reporting: Generate daily and monthly revenue, billing, and collection reports for the hospital's finance and administrative management teams.
Pay: ₹180,000.00 - ₹250,000.00 per year
