Job description
Site Engineer for interior projects supervises daily, on-site execution, ensuring high-quality fit-outs (partition, ceiling, flooring, carpentry) match GFC drawings, budget, and deadlines. Key responsibilities include coordinating subcontractors, managing materials, conducting inspections, and resolving technical issues, typically requiring a Diploma/BE in Civil/Interior Design with 2-6 years of experience.
- Site Supervision: Monitor daily work progress to ensure adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact between clients, designers, and contractors to ensure smooth execution.
- Technical Implementation: Read, interpret, and implement GFC (Good for Construction) drawings, shop drawings, and layout plans.
- Project Documentation: Maintain daily progress reports (DPR), material checklists, and site documentation.
- Quality & Safety Control: Ensure high-quality workmanship, proper material usage, and adherence to safety and health regulations.
- Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve technical or on-site challenges promptly.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Interior Design.
- Experience: 2–5 years in interior fit-out projects.
- Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of AutoCAD (2D) is essential, with skills in MS Project or 3D tools like SketchUp being advantageous.
- Technical Skills: Deep understanding of interior materials, modular furniture installation, and building codes.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and the ability to work under tight timelines.
