Job Description
We are looking for experienced Civil Engineers for an IIT-B project. The candidate should have strong knowledge of civil construction, concrete technology, structural steel, inspection, testing, and relevant Indian Standards (IS Codes).
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor civil construction activities as per approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Inspect materials, workmanship, and construction activities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable IS Codes and project specifications.
- Coordinate concrete sampling, testing, cube testing, and quality documentation.
- Review concrete mix designs and verify compliance with specified requirements.
- Monitor reinforcement steel and structural steel works.
- Maintain inspection and testing records and coordinate with project/client teams.
Mandatory Technical Knowledge
Candidates must have working knowledge of the following:
- IS 456:2000 – Plain and Reinforced Concrete
- Section 2 (Pages 13–30)
- Materials, Workmanship, Inspection & Testing
- IS 383:2016 – Specification for Coarse and Fine Aggregates
- IS 1199 – Methods of Sampling and Testing of Fresh Concrete
- Concrete Cube Compressive Strength
- Acceptance criteria as per IS 456
- IS 10262 – Concrete Mix Proportioning / Mix Design
- IS 516 – Methods of Tests for Strength of Concrete
- IS 2062 – Structural Steel Specification
- IS 800 – General Construction in Steel – Code of Practice
- IS 1786 – High Strength Deformed Steel Bars (TMT Bars)
Candidate Profile
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in civil construction/quality/inspection.
- Strong understanding of concrete technology and construction materials.
- Hands-on experience with inspection, testing, quality control, and documentation.
- Good knowledge of relevant IS Codes is mandatory.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with contractors, consultants, and client representatives.
