Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate and motivated AI Developer Intern to join our engineering team. This role is ideal for candidates with strong Python fundamentals and an interest in Artificial Intelligence, Large Language Models (LLMs), backend development, and modern AI technologies. You will work alongside experienced developers to build scalable AI services, integrate third-party AI platforms, and develop intelligent applications while gaining hands-on industry experience.
Responsibilities
. Develop and maintain AI backend services using Python and FastAPI.
. Build, test, and integrate REST APIs and WebSocket-based real-time communication.
. Integrate third-party AI, speech, and cloud APIs.
. Work with PostgreSQL databases and optimize data storage and retrieval.
. Assist in implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and Vector Database integrations.
. Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and reusable code.
. Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance.
. Collaborate with backend developers and product teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
. Participate in code reviews and follow software development best practices.
. Maintain technical documentation and API specifications.
Requirements
. Bachelor's degree (or pursuing) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
. Strong knowledge of Python programming.
. Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
. Familiarity with FastAPI (preferred), Django, or Flask.
. Understanding of REST APIs and backend development.
. Basic knowledge of WebSockets and real-time communication.
. Understanding of Microservices architecture and service-to-service communication.
. Experience working with PostgreSQL or other SQL databases.
. Knowledge of Git version control.
. Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
. Willingness to learn modern AI technologies and backend architecture.
Preferred Skills
. Basic understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI.
. Familiarity with OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or similar AI APIs.
. Understanding of Vector Databases such as pgvector, Pinecone, or Qdrant.
. Knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) concepts, including embeddings, chunking, and retrieval.
. Familiarity with Docker and containerization.
. Knowledge of AI/ML libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
. Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
. Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
