Brief: As Shopify Developer, you will own the technical build, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Scrubsy's D2C storefront — and build the high-converting landing pages, pre-landers, and advertorials that power our paid media. You will work at the intersection of development, design, and conversion: building and modifying Shopify themes with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid/Gempages, owning our tracking stack, and obsessing over page speed and conversion rate on every page you ship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the Scrubsy Shopify storefront – theme customization, section development, and front-end builds using HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Audit and improve the existing theme for performance, accessibility, and responsive across all devices
- Ensure all code is clean, commented and maintainable
- Own the Shopify tech stack – audit app performance, remove redundant apps, and ensure no app is creating page speed regressions
- Ensure the website works/renders consistently across devices and browsers
- Monitor site uptime, checkout error rates, and app conflicts
- Stay updated with Shopify ecosystem updates, frontend trends, and best practices
What We Are Looking For
Mandatory Requirement
- 5+ years of Shopify development experience on a live Shopify store with >Rs. 1Cr/month GMV
- Proficient in HTML, CSS and JavaScript to create stand-alone landing pages, funnels (pre-landers/advertorials)
- Experience building and optimizing landing pages for traffic (both shopify and stand-alone)
- Familiarity with Shopify apps, checkouts, themes, liquid, gempages, integrations, APIs and any custom development
- Ability to debug and troubleshoot frontend and Shopify-related issues
- Understanding of cross-browser compatibility and frontend standards
- Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools/workflows
- Experience with conversion rate optimization (CRO) – A/B testing, landing page optimization, and improving conversion across the funnel
- Integrations with tools like GTM/GA4/Pixel/CAPI/Klaviyo and more
Additional Requirement
- Prior experience in D2C, consumer brands, e-commerce or startup
- Experience with version control – Git, GitHub, or equivalent
- Knowledge of React or modern frontend frameworks is a plus
