Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Bakery Chef with 10+ years of experience in bakery and cake shop operations. The candidate should have strong expertise in preparing cakes, pastries, breads, desserts, and bakery products while maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of cakes, pastries, breads, cookies, and desserts.
- Design and decorate customized cakes for birthdays, weddings, and special occasions.
- Develop new recipes and innovative bakery products.
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and product quality.
- Manage daily bakery operations and production schedules.
- Monitor inventory and coordinate the purchase of bakery ingredients and supplies.
- Train and supervise bakery staff and junior chefs.
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Control food costs and minimize wastage.
- Ensure timely delivery of customer orders.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in bakery production and cake shop operations.
- Strong knowledge of cake making, cake decoration, fondant work, icing, pastries, breads, and desserts.
- Expertise in operating bakery equipment and ovens.
- Creative mindset with excellent presentation skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Certification in Bakery & Confectionery.
- Experience in premium cake shops, bakeries, or hospitality industry.
- Knowledge of modern baking techniques and trending cake designs.
