Job Summary
We are looking for a creative and experienced Interior Designer with expertise in modular furniture design to create functional and aesthetically appealing interior solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for client consultations, space planning, technical drawings, 3D visualizations, project coordination, and converting design proposals into successful orders while ensuring timely project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Visualization
Design innovative modular kitchens, wardrobes, TV units, office furniture, and customized furniture solutions.
Develop 2D layouts, 3D models, and high-quality renderings using industry-standard design software.
Create design concepts that optimize functionality, aesthetics, and available space.
Prepare presentation drawings and mood boards for client approvals.
Site Survey & Space Planning
Conduct accurate site measurements and surveys before design finalization.
Assess site conditions and identify any technical or structural constraints.
Ensure all designs are based on precise site dimensions and project requirements.
Technical Drawings & Documentation
Prepare detailed working drawings, shop drawings, and production drawings.
Develop Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and Bills of Materials (BOM).
Ensure all technical documentation is accurate and production-ready.
Project Coordination
Coordinate with project managers, production teams, fabrication units, and installation teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Resolve design-related issues during production and installation.
Monitor project progress to ensure quality standards and delivery timelines are maintained.
Client Consultation & Sales
Understand client requirements, preferences, and budgets.
Present design concepts, material selections, and commercial proposals.
Modify designs based on client feedback.
Convert design proposals into confirmed orders while delivering an excellent customer experience.
Support the sales team in achieving business targets.
Required Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
Minimum 7 years of experience in modular furniture design, interior design, or space planning.
Required Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD.
Strong knowledge of SketchUp, 3ds Max, or similar 3D visualization software.
Excellent understanding of modular furniture design principles and space planning.
Strong knowledge of plywood, MDF, laminates, veneers, hardware, fittings, and accessories.
Experience preparing BOQs, working drawings, and production documentation.
Excellent visualization and presentation skills.
Strong communication, negotiation, and client-handling abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
