Purchase Manager / Procurement Manager – Manufacturing
Job Summary
A Purchase Manager in a manufacturing company is responsible for sourcing raw materials, components, machinery, and services required for production. The role focuses on vendor management, cost control, timely procurement, inventory coordination, and ensuring uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies for manufacturing operations
- Source raw materials, packaging materials, machinery, and industrial supplies
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors
- Compare quotations and finalize cost-effective procurement deals
- Ensure timely availability of materials to avoid production delays
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with stores and production departments
- Prepare purchase orders and maintain procurement records
- Track market trends, pricing, and material availability
- Maintain vendor relationships and evaluate supplier performance
- Ensure compliance with company policies and quality standards
- Coordinate with finance for payment processing and budgeting
- Handle import/export procurement if applicable
- Reduce procurement costs while maintaining product qualityRequired Skills

Qualifications

- 5–10 years of procurement/purchase experience in manufacturing industry
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
