What is your role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced candidate to oversee the day-to-day accounting operations for transport company. The ideal candidate will manage the complete accounting cycle, including accounts payable and receivable, GST, TDS, financial reporting, and tax compliance. This role requires a detail-oriented and strategic thinker to ensure smooth financial processes and compliance with relevant regulations.
Job responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all vendor invoices and payments.
- Ensure all client invoices are generated and sent in a timely manner.
- Follow up on outstanding invoices, ensuring timely collections.
- Reconcile accounts receivable ledger and ensure all payments are accurately recorded.
- Ensure accurate and timely filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, etc.).
- Calculate and deduct TDS on applicable payments as per the Income Tax Act.
- Reconcile TDS accounts and issue TDS certificates to vendors and employees.
- Handle TDS notices and assist in resolving any related tax issues.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers and trial balances.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations including corporate tax, GST, TDS, and other applicable taxes.

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software.
- Knowledge for outlook, word and excel sheet.
