Key Responsibilities
CNC Programming
- Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using CAM software or manual programming.
- Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications.
- Select appropriate machining strategies, cutting tools, speeds, and feeds.
- Conduct program simulations to identify and eliminate potential issues.
Machine Setup (Setting)
- Set up CNC machines such as machining centers, lathes, milling machines, and turning centers.
- Install and align fixtures, workpieces, and tooling.
- Set machine offsets, tool lengths, and work coordinates.
- Perform first-off inspections and make necessary adjustments.
Production Support
- Monitor machining operations and troubleshoot programming or setup issues.
- Optimize cycle times and improve production efficiency.
- Support operators during production runs.
- Ensure machines produce components within specified tolerances.
Quality Control
- Inspect machined components using measuring instruments such as:
- Vernier calipers
- Micrometers
- Dial indicators
- Height gauges
- Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) where applicable
- Verify compliance with engineering drawings and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
Maintenance & Safety
- Perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping.
- Ensure proper tool management and inventory control.
- Follow company safety procedures and manufacturing best practices.
- Report machine faults and coordinate repairs when required.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die Making, Machinist, Production Technology, or related field.
- Experience in CNC programming and machine setup.
- Knowledge of G-code and M-code programming.
- Familiarity with CNC controls such as:
- Fanuc
- Siemens
- Mitsubishi
- Haas
- Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T symbols.
- Understanding of machining processes and cutting tools
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
