We are looking for a motivated HVAC Design Engineer (Fresher or Experienced) to join our engineering team for the design and execution of HVAC systems for pharmaceutical and other industrial projects. The candidate will be involved in HVAC system design, calculations, equipment selection, preparation of engineering documents, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams while ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design HVAC systems for pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, cleanrooms, laboratories, warehouses, and industrial buildings.
- Prepare HVAC load calculations using industry standards and software.
- Develop HVAC layouts, ducting, piping, and equipment layouts using AutoCAD/Revit.
- Select HVAC equipment including AHUs, FCUs, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, and ventilation systems.
- Prepare engineering documents such as:
- HVAC design calculations
- Equipment datasheets
- Duct sizing and pressure drop calculations
- Air balance calculations
- Bill of Quantities (BOQ)
- Technical specifications
- Ensure compliance with GMP, WHO, USFDA, EU GMP, ISO 14644, ASHRAE, IS Codes, and applicable standards.
- Coordinate with process, electrical, plumbing, civil, and architectural teams.
- Review vendor drawings and technical documents.
- Assist in preparation of tender documents and technical evaluations.
- Provide technical support during project execution, commissioning, and validation activities.
- Participate in design reviews and client meetings.
Skills & Requirements
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- Freshers are welcome to apply.
- 0–5 years of experience in HVAC design for pharmaceutical, healthcare, or industrial projects is preferred.
- Knowledge of HVAC design principles and psychrometrics.
- Familiarity with cleanroom HVAC concepts, pressure cascading, air changes, filtration, and temperature/humidity control.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
- Knowledge of Revit MEP, HAP, Elite, or similar HVAC design software is an advantage.
- Understanding of ASHRAE, IS Codes, GMP, and cleanroom standards.
- Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical HVAC validation requirements.
- Experience in cleanroom design and HVAC zoning.
- Familiarity with energy-efficient HVAC systems and sustainability practices.
- Basic understanding of project documentation and quality standards.
