- Develop and implement comprehensive production plans that align with sales forecasts and customer orders.
- Consider factors such as material availability, production capacity, and lead times to create efficient schedules.
- Coordinate with various departments, including purchasing, manufacturing, and quality control, to ensure smooth production flow.
- Create detailed production schedules, assigning tasks to specific resources and setting deadlines.
- Monitor progress against the schedule and make adjustments as needed to ensure timely delivery.
- Optimize resource allocation to maximize productivity and minimize costs.
- Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply of raw materials and components.
- Implement inventory control systems to track stock levels and prevent shortages or excesses.
- Coordinate with purchasing to ensure timely procurement of materials.
- Assess production capacity and identify bottlenecks or constraints.
- Develop strategies to optimize capacity utilization and improve efficiency.
Qualifications, Experience and Skillsets:
- Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in production planning and control, preferably in the home furnishing industry.
- Strong understanding of production processes and lean manufacturing principles.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems i.e. SAP and production planning software.
