Key Responsibilities:Hostel Administration
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the girls' hostel.
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and proper maintenance of hostel facilities.
- Monitor hostel occupancy and room allotments.
- Maintain hostel records, registers, and documentation.
Student Welfare
- Provide guidance and support to hostel students.
- Address students' concerns, grievances, and personal issues.
- Promote a positive, disciplined, and respectful hostel environment.
- Counsel students when required and coordinate with parents if necessary.
Discipline & Security
- Enforce hostel rules and regulations.
- Monitor student attendance and movement.
- Maintain discipline within the hostel premises.
- Ensure compliance with curfew timings and visitor policies.
- Coordinate with the security team for hostel safety.
Health & Emergency Management
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies.
- Coordinate with the institution's medical team or nearby hospital when required.
- Maintain first-aid supplies and emergency contact details.
- Report any emergency incidents immediately to the management.
Mess & Housekeeping
- Supervise the quality, hygiene, and timely service of food.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff.
- Ensure uninterrupted water supply, electricity, and sanitation facilities.
Parent Communication
- Maintain regular communication with parents regarding students' welfare when necessary.
- Inform parents and management about disciplinary or emergency matters.
Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly hostel reports.
- Report maintenance issues, disciplinary matters, and emergencies to the management.
- Maintain incident reports and complaint registers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (Master's Degree preferred).
- Previous experience as a Hostel Warden, Residential Warden, or in hostel administration is preferred.
- Female candidates only (as per hostel requirements and applicable regulations).
Skills Required
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Good communication skills in English and Tamil.
- Conflict resolution and counselling skills.
- Ability to handle emergencies calmly.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, Email).
- Good organizational and administrative skills.
Working Conditions
- Residential position; accommodation will be provided within the hostel campus.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
- Must be available during emergencies.
