About the Job:
The Controls Automation & Analytics Specialist enables efficient, high-quality, and scalable internal control testing through data analytics, automation and agentic AI. The role prepares and validates large transactional datasets, develops repeatable automated tests to identify exceptions, and supports the testing team with data-driven insights and monitoring outputs.
The position sits within the Internal Control Testing and Automation organization and reports to the Director, Internal Control Testing and Automation.
Main Responsibilities
Data, Analytics & Automated Testing Delivery
- Define data requirements with testers and process stakeholders. Obtain and prepare extracts from source systems (ERP, sub-ledgers, workflow tools).
- Perform data quality and reconciliation checks (completeness, accuracy, duplicates, cut-off, mapping) and document results.
- Build and maintain automated tests (SQL/Python/R) to detect exceptions (e.g., duplicate payments, abnormal journals, master data anomalies).
- Develop dashboards and exception reporting (Power BI/Tableau) to support periodic and continuous monitoring.
Operationalize automated tests: scheduling, run-books, exception triage workflow, and handoff to testers/control owners.

Agentic AI Enablement for Testing
- Design and maintain agentic AI workflows to support testing activities such as evidence intake/classification, completeness checks, automated follow-ups, exception clustering, and drafting testing narratives for reviewer completion.
- Define human-in-the-loop checkpoints and ensure reviewer approval before conclusions are finalized.
Maintain prompt libraries, agent configurations, and reusable components aligned with testing standards.

Governance, Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure audit-ready governance for automation and agentic solutions: documented logic/assumptions, data lineage, versioning/change logs, reproducibility, logging, access controls, and periodic re-validation.
- Collaborate with IC Testing Analysts/Senior Analysts and process teams to translate testing objectives into analytics/agentic use-cases and support root cause analysis and remediation follow-up.
- Identify opportunities to expand automation/agentic coverage and reduce manual effort. Contribute to the testing automation roadmap and standardization initiatives.
About You
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Professional certifications (CFA, CPA, ACCA, CIA, CISA, or AI/analytics certifications) are a plus.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Relevant certifications are a plus (data/analytics, CISA, etc.).

Experience
- 2–4 years in data analytics, IT audit, forensic analytics, finance analytics, automation, or similar.
- Proven experience working with large transactional datasets in ERP/finance contexts.
- Hands-on proficiency in SQL and at least one analytics language (Python or R).
- Experience with BI/visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau) and strong Excel skills.
- Experience building automated analytics, exception monitoring, or controls monitoring solutions.
- Exposure to LLM/agentic workflows in a controlled business context (prompt design, evaluation, logging) is a plus.
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to translate findings into actionable testing insights.
- Strong documentation discipline and audit trail mindset.
- Ability to implement human-in-the-loop safeguards and quality checks for agentic outputs.
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work across time zones.
Nice to Have
- Experience with GRC tools (AuditBoard or similar).
- Exposure to internal controls and end-to-end processes (RTR, P2P, O2C).
- Familiarity with RPA and basic model risk concepts (validation, monitoring, access controls, data privacy).
