Job Title: ETP Operator
Department: Utilities / Environment / ETP
Experience: 1–3 years
Qualification: ITI / Diploma / B.Sc. / relevant technical qualification
CTC : Max. 30,000/- per month
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) as per standard operating procedures.
- Monitor parameters such as pH, COD, BOD, TSS, flow, and chemical dosing.
- Operate pumps, blowers, agitators, filter presses, clarifiers, aeration systems, and other ETP equipment.
- Carry out chemical dosing and maintain proper treatment conditions.
- Collect wastewater and treated-water samples for routine testing.
- Maintain daily ETP operating logs, chemical consumption records, and equipment checklists.
- Identify abnormalities such as high pH, excess sludge, equipment failure, or unusual effluent quality and take corrective action.
- Perform sludge handling, dewatering, and disposal activities as per company procedures.
- Ensure treated effluent meets applicable environmental and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with the laboratory, maintenance, production, and EHS teams.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards around the ETP area.
- Follow PPE, chemical-handling, environmental, and workplace safety procedures.
- Assist during inspections, audits, and environmental compliance activities.
Skills Required
- Basic knowledge of ETP processes and wastewater treatment.
- Knowledge of chemical dosing and wastewater testing.
- Ability to operate pumps, motors, blowers, valves, and treatment equipment.
- Basic troubleshooting and preventive-maintenance knowledge.
- Good record-keeping and shift-handling skills.
- Awareness of environmental, chemical, and occupational safety requirements.
