Position Title: Assistant Professor – Yoga Science Department: Department of Yoga Science Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent (Subject to Probation Period)
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are inviting applications from qualified, dynamic, and dedicated individuals for the position of Assistant Professor in Yoga Science. The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, and academic development in the field of Yoga Science at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Teach theory and practical courses in Yoga Science at B.N.Y.Sc. and M.N.Y.Sc. levels
- Conduct and supervise research activities in Yoga and allied sciences
- Develop and review curriculum, course materials, and lesson plans
- Guide and mentor students in academic and practical aspects of yoga
- Organize workshops, seminars, yoga camps, and awareness programs
- Participate in departmental meetings, university committees, and academic activities
- Publish research papers in peer-reviewed journals
- Maintain student attendance, assessment records, and progress reports
- Collaborate with other departments and institutions for academic advancement
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree: B.N.Y.Sc. (Bachelor of Natural Yoga Science) from a recognized university
- Master's Degree: M.N.Y.Sc. (Master of Natural Yoga Science) or equivalent postgraduate degree in Yoga Science with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks
- Qualified in NET/SET (National/State Eligibility Test) in Yoga or Physical Education as per UGC norms
- OR Ph.D. in Yoga Science from a recognized university (NET/SET exemption as per UGC regulations)
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
- Ph.D. in Yoga Science or related discipline
- Prior teaching or research experience at university/college level
- Knowledge of traditional yoga texts, anatomy, physiology, and naturopathy
- Certification from a recognized Yoga Board or institution (e.g., QCI, AYUSH)
- Publications in reputed journals or books on Yoga Science
KEY SKILLS
- Strong command of yoga asanas, pranayama, meditation, and yogic philosophy
- Ability to teach in both Hindi and English
- Good communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Familiarity with e-learning tools and modern teaching methodologies
- Research aptitude and academic writing skills
Pay: From ₹55,000.00 per month
