About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to manage construction, renovation, procurement, and maintenance activities across schools, educational institutes, hostels, and other institutional facilities. The candidate should have strong practical knowledge of civil works, material pricing, estimation, vendor management, and facility maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Construction Management: Supervise civil construction projects, contractors, site activities, quality, timelines, and execution as per approved specifications.
- Estimation & Costing: Prepare BOQs, quantity estimates, project budgets, comparative statements, and monitor project costs.
- Material Procurement: Maintain knowledge of market rates for steel, cement, sand, aggregates, bricks, tiles, paint, plumbing and other construction materials.
- Bulk Purchase & Negotiation: Obtain quotations, compare rates, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure cost-effective bulk procurement without compromising quality.
- Renovation: Plan and supervise renovation of classrooms, offices, hostels, washrooms, common areas, laboratories, and other facilities.
- Building Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and manage repairs related to waterproofing, leakage, cracks, plastering, flooring, painting, plumbing, drainage, roofing, doors/windows, and general civil works.
- Vendor & Contractor Management: Identify vendors, negotiate rates, monitor contractor performance, verify work completion and measurements, and coordinate bill verification.
- Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure safe and well-maintained institutional infrastructure.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain project records, estimates, quotations, work orders, measurements, maintenance reports, and cost statements.
- Safety & Quality: Ensure civil works comply with required quality and safety standards and immediately escalate critical structural or infrastructure issues.

Candidate Profile
- B.E./B.Tech. in Civil Engineering from a recognised institution.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in civil construction, infrastructure, renovation, or building maintenance.
- Practical understanding of construction material rates and market trends.
- Strong negotiation, costing, vendor management, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience handling schools, colleges, hostels, commercial buildings, or institutional facilities will be preferred.
- Should be willing to undertake regular site inspections and coordinate with contractors/vendors.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
