We are looking for a dynamic and articulate Journalist cum Anchor to join our team. The ideal candidate will combine strong journalistic skills with an engaging on-air presence, delivering news stories with clarity, confidence, and credibility. This role involves researching, writing, and editing news content, as well as presenting stories live on broadcast and digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Research & Reporting: Investigate current events, trends, and issues; ensure all stories are thoroughly researched, fact-checked, and accurate.
Content Creation: Write and edit news articles, features, and scripts that adhere to journalistic standards and resonate with diverse audiences.
Anchoring: Present news stories live on-air with professionalism, clarity, and confidence, maintaining audience trust and engagement.
Multimedia Collaboration: Work with producers, video editors, and technical teams to integrate visuals and graphics into broadcasts for impactful storytelling.
Digital & Social Media: Curate and share engaging content across social platforms to extend reach, drive interaction, and build community engagement.
Audience Interaction: Engage with viewers through live chats, comments, and Q&A sessions, fostering a strong connection with the audience.
Trend Awareness: Monitor emerging trends, breaking news, and audience preferences to ensure timely and relevant coverage.
Ethical Standards: Uphold the highest standards of journalistic integrity and ethics in all reporting and anchoring activities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, English, or related field.
1–2 years of experience in broadcast journalism, anchoring, or content writing, with a strong portfolio of work.
Exceptional communication, writing, and presentation skills.
Confident on-camera presence with excellent voice modulation and delivery.
Strong research abilities and attention to detail.
Familiarity with newsroom operations, digital content optimization, and SEO best practices.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Proficiency in social media platforms and content management systems.
Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills.
