Job Title: Junior Chemist - Centre for Advanced Training and Research
Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Chemist to support laboratory operations by preparing chemical reagents, performing sample testing, maintaining laboratory documentation, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Junior Chemist will be responsible for report preparation, record maintenance, instrument handling, billing-related documentation, and providing practical guidance to student interns. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical, communication, and multitasking skills with a commitment to maintaining quality and accuracy in laboratory processes.
Key Responsibilities:-
- Prepare chemical reagents and solutions as per standard laboratory procedures.
- Operate, maintain, and handle laboratory instruments and equipment safely.
- Prepare test reports and ensure timely submission of analysis results.
- Maintain laboratory documentation, records, and registers with accuracy.
- Handle billing-related documentation and maintain accurate billing records.
- Maintain laboratory records, registers, and other documentation in compliance with SOPs.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals following laboratory safety procedures.
- Guide and supervise student interns during laboratory training and provide hands-on practical demonstrations.
- Coordinate internship activities, monitor student performance, and support laboratory learning.
- Assist in research, development, and other laboratory-related activities as assigned.
- Conduct JOC (Job-Oriented Course) theory and practical classes, provide hands-on laboratory training, and mentor students during laboratory sessions and internships.
- Assess student performance, maintain attendance and assessment records, and assist in developing laboratory exercises and training materials for JOC programs.
- Maintaining Equipment usage Logbooks regularly.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Chemistry / Biotechnology.
- Experience in Chemicals sample testing &Food Sample Testing .
Technical Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, students, and researchers.
- Knowledge to operate computer system and taking printouts.
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to teach for Students Internship, training programs, and interdisciplinary research.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to lab equipment and software.
