A radiology department front office executive manages the reception desk, welcomes patients, and handles administrative tasks to keep the imaging department running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Greeting: Welcome patients, check them in, and guide them to the correct waiting or testing areas.
- Scheduling: Book, reschedule, or cancel appointments for tests like X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans.
- Registration & Records: Enter patient details, update medical records, and manage files using a Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Communication: Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and relay important messages between patients and medical staff.
- Billing and Insurance: Verify insurance coverage, explain billing procedures, and collect payments or co-pays.
Job Requirements
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is usually required; additional secretarial or healthcare administration training is a plus.
- Skills: Good computer skills, clear communication, and strong organizational abilities.
- Experience: Prior front desk or medical office experience helps candidates handle patient flow and scheduling software quickly.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
