Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented GeM Tender Executive to manage end-to-end procurement and sales operations on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal. The candidate will be responsible for handling tender participation, product listings, order execution, and compliance with GeM policies.
A strong vendor network and good sourcing capability in the listed product categories will be a key factor in selection.
Key Responsibilities1. GeM Portal Management
- Handle complete operations on the GeM portal
- Maintain and update company profile, product catalog, and pricing
- Ensure compliance with GeM guidelines and policies
2. Product Listing & Catalog Management
- Upload and manage product/service listings with accurate specifications
- Optimize listings for better visibility and competitiveness
- Monitor market trends and competitor pricing
3. Tender & Bid Management
- Identify relevant tenders, bids, and direct purchase opportunities
- Prepare and submit technical & financial bids
- Track bid status and respond to buyer queries promptly
4. Order Processing & Execution
- Coordinate with sourcing, vendors, and logistics teams for order fulfillment
- Ensure timely dispatch and delivery as per GeM requirements
- Generate invoices and required documentation
5. Sourcing & Vendor Management
- Develop and maintain a strong vendor/supplier base
- Source products efficiently across the specified categories
- Negotiate pricing and ensure quality standards
6. Payment Follow-up & Reconciliation
- Track payments and follow up with buyers
- Coordinate with accounts for reconciliation
- Maintain proper transaction records
7. Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure all required certifications and documents are updated
- Stay informed about GeM policy updates
- Maintain audit-ready documentation
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or related field
- Experience: 2–3 years of hands-on experience with GeM portal operations
- Technical Skills:
- Working knowledge of Tally (Accounting & invoicing)
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word)
- Core Skills:
- Strong understanding of GeM tendering process
- Good communication & negotiation skills
- Attention to detail and compliance awareness
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
Key Selection Criteria
- Proven experience in GeM tender handling
- Strong sourcing network for Cleaning, Surgical, Logistics, Apparels, and FMCG products
- Ability to manage end-to-end GeM operations independently
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹9,684.61 - ₹34,171.30 per month
