Role Description The Fitter Fabricator will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and fitting metal components and structures used in machinery and equipment. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting technical drawings, measuring and cutting metal, performing welding and basic machining operations, and assembling parts according to specifications. The role involves inspecting finished work for accuracy, performing adjustments, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The Fitter Fabricator will coordinate with supervisors and other technicians to support installation, repair, and maintenance activities at the workshop and customer sites. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Panchkula. Qualifications Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, sketches, and technical specifications. Hands-on skills in metal fabrication, fitting, cutting, drilling, grinding, and basic welding. Knowledge of workshop tools, machinery, and safe operating procedures. Attention to detail, quality-focused approach, and ability to perform accurate measurements and alignments. Physical ability to handle materials, operate tools, and work in an industrial environment while following safety protocols. Basic communication skills to coordinate with team members and report issues clearly. Relevant vocational training, ITI, or diploma in Fitter/Fabrication/Mechanical or a related trade is preferred. Prior experience in machinery fabrication, installation, or maintenance in an industrial setting is an advantage.
