Job Summary
Sea Blue Shipyard Limited is seeking skilled and experienced Structure Fabricators to join our shipbuilding team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and fitting steel structural components according to engineering drawings and project specifications. Candidates with experience in shipbuilding, heavy structural fabrication, or industrial fabrication are preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret structural fabrication drawings, GA drawings, and fabrication sketches.
- Measure, mark, cut, grind, and prepare steel plates, beams, channels, angles, and other structural materials.
- Assemble and fit structural components accurately as per drawings.
- Perform tack welding (if qualified) to hold components in position before final welding.
- Ensure proper alignment, dimensions, and fit-up of fabricated structures.
- Use fabrication tools and equipment such as grinders, cutting torches, magnetic drills, and measuring instruments.
- Carry out flame cutting, edge preparation, and beveling operations.
- Coordinate with welders, fitters, and supervisors to complete fabrication work on schedule.
- Maintain quality standards and comply with approved fabrication procedures.
- Follow all workplace safety rules and wear required PPE.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma in Fitter, Fabrication, or a related trade is preferred.
- Relevant fabrication certifications are an added advantage.
Experience
- 2–10 years of experience in structural fabrication.
- Experience in shipbuilding, offshore, heavy engineering, or steel fabrication is preferred.
- Freshers with relevant technical qualifications may also apply for trainee positions.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings.
- Good knowledge of structural steel fabrication.
- Experience with gas cutting and grinding.
- Familiarity with measuring instruments such as measuring tape, steel rule, spirit level, and square.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail and quality.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
