We are seeking a highly capable Structural BIM Coordinator with proven experience in the structural Revit modelling of building structures across various typologies, including mixed-use, residential, retail, and commercial developments.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and demonstrated modelling expertise throughout all project phases - from concept to IFC design stages.
This role requires a balance of technical proficiency and collaboration to ensure successful delivery of projects in line with quality, programme, and budget expectations
Key Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- Collaboration with architectural, MEP, interior design, landscape, facade and other multidiscipline teams to deliver integrated and efficient Structural BIM models aligning with architectural design intent.
- Develop detailed 3D models of structural systems in Revit – preferably using automated digital workflows
- Daily drafting duties of all structural design requirement.
- Produce complete and accurate record drawings printing and binding and other CAD/BIM related assistance for the project and Discipline engineers.
- Support for document preparation and submission to local authorities for approvals.
- Preparation of detailed drawings as per project requirement.
- Communicate and coordinate with all disciplines and stakeholders including Clients on a daily basis.
- Create parametric families and components for structural elements to ensure efficiency in modelling.
- Support with development of digital automation.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of structural systems representation in the BIM model, in accordance with local standards in the Middle East.
- Stay current with international and UAE regional codes, standards, and best practices in structural engineering digital delivery.
- Conduct regular clash detection and quality checks on BIM models to ensure full coordination, verify compliance with project standards, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Review model elements for accuracy, consistency, and constructability.
Core Competencies & Attributes:
- Proven expertise in Structural Revit/BIM modelling. Familiarity with BIM tools such as Revit/Dynamo and parametric platforms like Rhino/Grasshopper is a strong advantage.
- Demonstrated experience in BIM-based delivery and digital structural workflows.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative and adaptable work ethic.
- Solid understanding of international and regional design codes and drafting practices, in particular Middle East construction practices.
- Experience and Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in structural design modelling, preferably active involvement on projects in the Middle East region within international multidisciplinary consultancies.
- Strong knowledge of regional authority requirements, local construction practices, and Middle East design codes and regulations.
