About the Role
Motilal Oswal is looking for a knowledgeable and client-focused Fixed Income Bond Advisor to strengthen its Fixed Income vertical. The ideal candidate will advise clients on bond investments, create customized fixed-income portfolios, and provide research-backed investment solutions across a range of debt products.
Key Responsibilities Client Advisory & Portfolio Management
- Understand clients' financial goals and risk profiles to recommend suitable fixed-income investment strategies.
- Advise clients on Corporate Bonds, Government Securities (G-Secs), SDLs, Sovereign Gold Bonds (SGBs), NCDs, Yield Products, and other fixed-income solutions.
- Conduct regular portfolio reviews and recommend rebalancing based on market conditions.
- Provide investment ideas aligned with interest rate movements and market trends.
Sales & Business Development
- Drive Assets Under Management (AUM) growth through client acquisition and portfolio expansion.
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, and product discussions to promote fixed-income investment solutions.
- Collaborate with Relationship Managers and Wealth Teams to generate leads and convert business opportunities.
Research & Market Intelligence
- Monitor bond markets, yield curves, credit ratings, liquidity events, and macroeconomic trends.
- Share timely market updates and investment insights with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Stay informed about new bond issuances, regulatory changes, and market developments.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure all investment recommendations comply with regulatory and internal risk guidelines.
- Maintain accurate client documentation, suitability records, and investment rationale.
- Clearly communicate product features and associated risks to clients.
Operational Support
- Coordinate with operations, compliance, and back-office teams for seamless transaction execution.
- Support sales teams with product training, market updates, and technical guidance.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3–8 years of experience in Fixed Income Advisory within Wealth Management or Broking.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Corporate Bonds
- Government Securities (G-Secs)
- SDLs
- Sovereign Gold Bonds (SGBs)
- NCDs
- Debt Markets & Yield Products
- Experience advising HNI and retail clients on fixed-income investment solutions.
- Strong analytical, advisory, and relationship management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Commerce, Economics, or a related field.
- NISM Certification in Fixed Income or Investment Advisory is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, research tools, and broking platforms.
