Position: Physical Education Teacher (PET) – Cricket / Volleyball
Qualification:
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) or Master's Degree in Physical Education (M.P.Ed.)
- Certification/Coaching qualification in Cricket or Volleyball will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in a CBSE/ICSE/recognized school preferred.
Key ResponsibilitiesSports Coaching
- Plan and conduct structured coaching sessions in Cricket/Volleyball for students of different age groups.
- Identify, train, and mentor talented students for inter-school, district, state, and national-level competitions.
- Organize regular practice sessions before and after school as required.
- Teach game rules, techniques, strategies, sportsmanship, and fitness.
Physical Education
- Conduct Physical Education classes in accordance with the CBSE curriculum.
- Develop students' physical fitness, coordination, teamwork, discipline, and leadership skills.
- Prepare lesson plans and maintain assessment records.
Event Management
- Organize annual sports events, intramural competitions, Sports Day, and inter-house tournaments.
- Coordinate participation in CBSE Cluster, Sahodaya, and other external sports competitions.
- Assist in planning and executing school events requiring sports coordination.
Student Welfare & Safety
- Ensure student safety during sports activities and maintain discipline on the playground.
- Inspect and maintain sports equipment and playing areas.
- Administer basic first aid when required and report injuries promptly.
Administration
- Maintain attendance, performance records, and inventory of sports equipment.
- Prepare reports, budgets, and requisitions related to sports activities.
- Work closely with the Principal, HOD, and school management to promote sports excellence.
Skills Required
- Strong coaching ability in Cricket/Volleyball.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and mentor students.
- Good organizational and event management skills.
- Knowledge of CBSE sports guidelines and competition formats.
- Team player with a positive and professional attitude.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Passionate about school sports and student development.
- Experience coaching school teams that have participated in CBSE Cluster, Sahodaya, District, or State-level competitions.
- Willingness to conduct early morning, evening, and weekend practice sessions during tournament seasons.
- Proficient in maintaining sports records and using basic computer applications.
