We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Data Science Intern to join our team. The intern will work on AI-powered quality assessment projects focused on agricultural produce, leveraging Machine Learning, Computer Vision, and Data Analytics techniques. This role offers hands-on experience in developing intelligent solutions, analyzing datasets, and contributing to innovative AgriTech products.
Key Responsibilities AI-Powered Quality Assessment
- Assist in developing AI and Machine Learning models for quality assessment and grading of agricultural produce.
- Work with image datasets to identify quality parameters, defects, and classification categories.
- Support Computer Vision model development for automated quality inspection.
- Participate in model training, testing, validation, and performance optimization.
- Analyze agricultural datasets and generate actionable insights.
Data Science & Analytics
- Collect, clean, and preprocess structured and unstructured data.
- Perform Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) to identify patterns and trends.
- Build predictive and classification models using Machine Learning techniques.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support business decision-making.
- Evaluate model performance and recommend improvements.
Research & Innovation
- Research emerging trends in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, and AgriTech.
- Experiment with new algorithms and technologies to improve product accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with product, technology, and business teams to translate requirements into data-driven solutions.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Python.
- Working knowledge of Pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib.
- Understanding of SQL and database concepts.
- Knowledge of Machine Learning fundamentals, including Regression, Classification, and Clustering.
- Experience with Data Cleaning and Data Analysis techniques.
- Familiarity with Data Visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Basic understanding of Statistics and analytical methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a startup environment.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Computer Vision and Image Processing.
- Familiarity with OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
- Understanding of Deep Learning models, especially Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs).
- Interest in Agriculture, Artificial Intelligence, and Sustainability.
Qualifications
- Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant academic projects, certifications, or coursework in Data Science or Machine Learning are a plus.
