Role Overview
We're hiring our quality owner. You'll set up and run the testing function for our product end-to-end — from defining what "ready for release" means, to building the test process, to signing off every release. This is not a role where test cases are handed to you; you'll create the playbook.
If you've only executed test cases written by someone else, this role will be a stretch. If you've been the person others come to when a release is shaky, keep reading.
What you'll own
● Build the testing process from the ground up: test strategy, test plans, test data, entry/exit criteria, and release sign-off gates
● Functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing across web and mobile
● API and data-layer validation across services
● Defect lifecycle in JIRA — from logging to closure, with clear reproduction steps and severity calls
● Release validation and the final quality sign-off before features ship
● Production issue triage: reproduce, isolate, and partner with developers on fixes
● Test automation — design, build, and maintain the automation suite (we expect this role to grow our automation coverage, not just run manual cycles)
● Active participation in sprint planning, design reviews, and retrospectives — flagging quality risks before code is written, not after.
● Identifying process gaps that cause rework and closing them.
Must-have skills
● 3 - 4 years in software testing, with at least 2 years on a product (not just project/services) team
● Strong hands-on manual testing across functional, regression, and UAT
● Hands-on test automation using Selenium and/or Appium (this is non-negotiable for this role)
● API testing with Postman, REST Assured, or similar
● SQL and database validation — comfortable writing queries to verify data flows
● JIRA or Azure DevOps for defect and test management
● Solid grasp of SDLC, STLC, and Agile / Scrum
● Hands on Automation testing and related tools
● Experience testing both web and mobile application
Good to have
● CI/CD exposure (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) — integrating tests into pipelines
● Performance testing with JMeter or k6
● Familiarity with Docker and cloud environments (AWS / Azure / GCP)
● Experience setting up a QA function or test framework from scratch in a previous role

Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
