Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Responsibilities
- Perform and interpret diagnostic imaging examinations, including:
- X-Ray
- Ultrasound (USG)
- Doppler Studies
- CT Scan (if available)
- MRI (if available)
- Mammography (if applicable)
- Fluoroscopy (if applicable)
- Review patient history and clinical indications before conducting imaging procedures.
- Prepare and verify accurate radiology reports within the defined Turnaround Time (TAT).
- Communicate urgent or critical findings immediately to the referring physician.
- Provide consultation to clinicians regarding imaging findings and diagnostic recommendations.
- Recommend additional imaging or follow-up investigations when clinically indicated.
Interventional Procedures (if applicable)
- Perform ultrasound-guided procedures such as:
- FNAC
- Biopsies
- Drainage procedures
- Image-guided aspirations
- Ensure patient safety during all interventional radiology procedures.
Quality & Patient Safety
- Ensure radiation safety protocols are followed for patients and staff.
- Adhere to ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles for radiation exposure.
- Maintain high standards of diagnostic accuracy and patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits.
- Ensure compliance with NABH standards and hospital policies.
Equipment & Department Management
- Monitor the proper functioning of radiology equipment.
- Coordinate with biomedical engineers for preventive maintenance and calibration.
- Ensure proper documentation and record maintenance.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and efficiency within the radiology department.
Team Collaboration
- Supervise and guide radiographers, sonographers, and radiology technicians.
- Coordinate effectively with referring consultants and other departments.
- Train staff on imaging protocols, radiation safety, and departmental SOPs.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
- Participate in departmental meetings, CMEs, and accreditation activities.
- Assist management in planning departmental improvements and service expansion.
Required Qualifications Education
- MBBS from a recognized medical institution.
- MD/DNB/DMRD in Radiodiagnosis (Mandatory).
- Valid NMC/State Medical Council Registration.
Experience
- 2–5 years of post-qualification experience in a hospital or diagnostic imaging center.
- Experience in reporting CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Doppler, and X-Ray studies preferred.
- Experience in NABH-accredited hospitals will be an added advantage.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Raya, Uttar Pradesh: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Uttar pradesh medical council certificate (Preferred)
