Role Summary
Astroport is looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Executive to drive sales, expand our client base, and promote our astronomy and stargazing services. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and negotiation skills, with a passion for relationship building and achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation & Prospecting
- Identify potential clients, including educational institutions, corporates, travel agencies, and event organizers.
- Generate leads through research, cold calls, networking, and referrals.
- Maintain an updated database of prospects in the CRM.
- Sales Presentations & Pitching
- Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations tailored to client needs.
- Clearly communicate the value of Astroport's services, including astronomy camps, stargazing events, educational programs, and corporate workshops.
- Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients to ensure repeat business.
- Act as a point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and resolving concerns promptly.
- Negotiation & Deal Closure
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to close deals while ensuring profitability.
- Follow up on proposals to secure commitments and execute agreements.
- Market Research & Insights
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
- Provide feedback to the management team to refine sales strategies and offerings.
- Sales Reporting & Performance Tracking
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets as set by the management.
- Prepare and present detailed sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates.
- Event Support & Coordination
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Attend events, exhibitions, or meetings to represent Astroport and generate business.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in sales, business development, or a similar role (experience in the education, tourism, or event industry is a plus).
- Skills:
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation and closing abilities.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Time management and multitasking skills.
