Job Overview
The Sourcing Analyst is responsible for supporting end-to-end sourcing and supply chain initiatives by combining strategic sourcing expertise with advanced data analytics and business intelligence. This role partners with category managers, operations, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive cost optimization, supplier performance, and data-driven decision-making.
The position plays a key role in developing sourcing strategies, analyzing market and supplier data, and building reporting and analytics solutions that improve visibility, forecasting, and operational performance across the supply chain.
A Day In The Life
Data Analytics & Business Intelligence
Collect, manage, and analyze large and complex datasets to support sourcing and supply chain decisions
Develop and maintain data models, dashboards, and reports (Power BI) to track KPIs and sourcing performance
Analyze pricing trends, cost drivers, raw materials, inflation, and market indices
Provide insights into cost savings opportunities, supplier performance, and operational improvements
Apply statistical and predictive analytics to improve forecasting and planning
Automate and standardize reporting processes for efficiency and scalability
Supply Chain Analysis
Analyze end-to-end supply chain processes to identify cost, service, and efficiency improvements
Support initiatives related to inventory optimization, working capital, and productivity enhancements
Evaluate sourcing strategies against KPIs such as savings, service levels, and risk mitigation
Identify and implement process improvements and best practices
Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication
Partner with category managers, operations, finance, and IT teams to align data and sourcing strategies
Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for business stakeholders
Present findings and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional teams
Support data literacy and adoption of self-service analytics tools (e.g., Power BI)
What will help you thrive in this role?
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Data Analytics, Engineering, or related field
3–5+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain analytics, or business intelligence
Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, visualization, and reporting
Proficiency in Power BI, Excel, and data tools/databases
Experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
Knowledge of sourcing processes, supplier management, and cost analysis
Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with statistical modeling, forecasting, or data science techniques
Familiarity with Python, Azure, or advanced analytics tools
Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM)
Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
Knowledge of global sourcing and international markets
