Job Description (JD) – Assistant Manager Marketing
Business: Offline Distribution – TV / Consumer Electronics
Experience: 4–5 Years
Reporting To: Business Head
Role Objective
Drive brand visibility, retail engagement, and on-ground marketing execution across assigned markets to strengthen brand presence, improve retail conversion, and support sales growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Trade Marketing & Retail Visibility
- Work closely with sales team, distributors, and retailers to ensure strong in-market brand visibility
- Plan and execute visibility initiatives across:
- Glow Sign Boards (GSB)
- Flanges
- Display units
- In-shop branding
- Outdoor branding (OOH)
- Dealer boards & retail branding elements
- Ensure timely installation, upkeep, and audit of branding assets in market
2. Vendor Management & Execution
- Identify, onboard, and manage branding and fabrication vendors
- Coordinate end-to-end execution:
- Design briefing
- Production
- Dispatch
- Installation
- Site validation
- Ensure execution quality, TAT adherence, and vendor accountability
3. Retailer & Consumer Engagement
- Conceptualize and execute innovative engagement activities for:
- Retailers
- Promoters
- End consumers
- Plan localized campaigns, shop activations, seasonal promotions, and market events to improve brand recall and conversion
4. Marketing Communication & Collaterals
- Coordinate development and printing of:
- Product catalogues
- POSM materials
- Product communication assets
- Retail branding creatives
- Ensure consistency in brand communication across markets
5. Budgeting & Cost Optimization
- Coordinate with finance team for:
- Vendor PO creation
- Payment processing
- Budget tracking
- Drive cost efficiency and ROI optimization in branding and visibility spends
6. Market Intelligence & Brand Audit
- Conduct regular market audits to track:
- Competitor visibility
- Retail branding quality
- Share of visibility
- Share actionable market insights and improvement recommendations with business leadership
7. Cross-functional Coordination
- Collaborate with:
- Sales team
- Supply chain
- Finance
- Design agencies
- Vendors
- Ensure smooth rollout of marketing initiatives aligned with business priorities
Desired Candidate Profile
- 4–5 years of relevant experience in:
- Trade Marketing
- Retail Branding
- Marketing Communications
- Strong understanding of offline retail ecosystem in consumer durables / electronics
- Experience in vendor management and on-ground execution
- Good commercial understanding and negotiation skills
