Experience
15–20 Years of relevant experience in manufacturing, edible oil, agro-processing, food processing, feed manufacturing, or FMCG industries, including 5–8 years in a leadership role managing engineering and maintenance teams.
Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
- M.E./M.Tech is an added advantage.
- Certifications in TPM, Reliability Engineering, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Maintenance Management are preferred.
Salary: Best in the Industry, commensurate with qualifications, experience, and current compensation.

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Maintenance Head to lead our Engineering & Maintenance Department and ensure maximum plant reliability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
Job Summary
The Maintenance Head will be responsible for planning, directing, and controlling all maintenance activities related to production machinery, utilities, electrical systems, mechanical equipment, instrumentation, and plant infrastructure. The role requires strong technical expertise, strategic planning, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to safety, productivity, and cost optimization.
Key Responsibilities
Plant Maintenance
- Lead all preventive, predictive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Ensure maximum equipment uptime and plant availability.
- Develop annual maintenance plans and shutdown schedules.
- Improve equipment reliability through Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Minimize production downtime through effective maintenance planning.
Engineering & Utilities
- Manage boilers, compressors, DG sets, air compressors, cooling systems, transformers, electrical panels, and utility equipment.
- Ensure smooth operation of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentation systems.
- Monitor utility consumption and implement energy conservation initiatives.
Reliability & Asset Management
- Implement Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) practices.
- Maintain complete equipment history and maintenance records.
- Develop equipment reliability improvement programs.
- Plan refurbishment and replacement of ageing equipment.
Spare Parts & Inventory
- Maintain optimum inventory levels of critical spare parts.
- Coordinate with Procurement for timely availability of materials.
- Reduce maintenance costs through efficient inventory management.
Budget & Cost Control
- Prepare and monitor annual maintenance budgets.
- Optimize maintenance expenditure without compromising equipment reliability.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, electrical safety standards, and environmental requirements.
- Promote a zero-accident safety culture.
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with ISO, Factory Act, Pollution Control Board, and other statutory requirements.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor engineers, supervisors, technicians, electricians, fitters, welders, and contract maintenance personnel.
- Conduct technical training and skill development programs.
- Build a high-performance maintenance team through coaching and performance management.
Continuous Improvement
- Implement Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and TPM initiatives.
- Drive automation and process improvements.
- Recommend technology upgrades to improve productivity and reduce operating costs.
