Job Description
Kefa Solar Energy is looking for a Licensed Electrical Wireman to join our growing solar energy team in Changanacherry, Kottayam.
The selected candidate will be responsible for electrical wiring, installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities related to solar PV systems and other electrical installations. The role requires good technical knowledge, attention to safety, and the ability to work at customer sites and project locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical wiring and installation work for solar PV systems.
- Install and connect electrical components, cables, distribution boards, isolators, MCBs, and related equipment.
- Assist with solar inverter, AC/DC wiring and electrical connections.
- Perform testing and commissioning of electrical installations.
- Identify and troubleshoot electrical faults.
- Carry out preventive and corrective electrical maintenance.
- Ensure proper earthing and electrical safety standards are maintained.
- Read and understand basic electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Inspect electrical connections and ensure proper workmanship.
- Follow safety procedures while working at heights and on solar installation sites.
- Coordinate with solar installation and service teams.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work materials properly.
- Visit customer/project sites as required.
- Complete assigned work within the scheduled time.
- Follow company quality and safety standards.
Requirements
- Valid Electrical Wireman Licence is required.
- ITI / relevant electrical qualification preferred.
- Previous experience in electrical work or solar installation will be an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of electrical wiring and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of solar PV systems is an added advantage.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel to customer/project sites when required.
- Physically fit and comfortable with site-based work.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with experience in solar installation, electrical wiring, inverter installation, solar maintenance, or construction electrical work are preferred.
