ABOUT THE ROLE
Ombre is a premium wedding photography and cinematography studio working with high-net-worth clients across multi-day, multi-city Indian weddings. We're looking for a Junior Video Editor to join our Video team and help bring wedding films, highlight reels, and social content to life — under the guidance of our senior editors and Video lead.
This is a strong entry point for someone who's serious about editing as a craft and wants to learn inside a studio that treats every film as a signature piece, not a template.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
— Assist senior editors in cutting wedding films, highlight reels, teasers, and same-day edits.
— Organize, label, and manage raw footage across projects to keep editing pipelines clean and on schedule.
— Cut short-form content (reels, social edits) in line with Ombre's visual and narrative style.
— Support basic color correction, audio sync, and sound design under senior supervision.
— Follow project timelines set in Asana and flag delays early rather than at the deadline.
— Take feedback on cuts quickly and iterate without repeated hand-holding.
— Occasionally support on-site during shoots or backups when required.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
— 0–1 year of editing experience — college projects, freelance work, or a strong personal portfolio all count.
— Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro; familiarity with DaVinci Resolve is a plus.
— A genuine eye for pacing, music, and emotional storytelling — not just technical cutting.
— Comfort taking direction and working within an established house style.
— Reliable, organized, and able to manage multiple projects without losing track of files or deadlines.
WORK DETAILS
6-day work week, bi-weekly (2 Saturdays off every month). Reporting hours are fixed but flexible in practice — this is a deliverable-driven, deadline-first environment.
Wedding season (Oct–Feb) will require longer hours and weekend work. All overtime during season is compensated with equivalent time off in the off-season.
On-site only for the first year. Remote/hybrid work may be considered after 12 months, based on role and performance.
