Job Summary:
The Quality Control Engineer will be responsible for meeting quality standards of bought out items and parts manufactured in-house to meet the quality standards of the end product. His/ her role involves inspecting, testing, and monitoring production processes and materials, identifying defects or deviations, and implementing corrective actions to maintain high-quality output.
Key Responsibilities:
· Inspect raw materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
· Conduct in-process quality checks during manufacturing and assembly stages.
· Must have hands-on experience using instruments like callipers, micrometres, gauges, and a CMM machine.
· Coordinate with production and design teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
· Prepare and maintain reports, including NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), CAPAs (Corrective and Preventive Actions), and inspection logs.
· Assist in internal and external quality audits.
· Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 or other relevant quality certifications.
· Train production staff on basic quality standards and procedures and reduce rework.
· Work towards the FTR ( First time right) concept
Key Skills and Competencies:
· Strong knowledge of quality standards in industrial machinery manufacturing.
· Proficient in using measuring and inspection instruments.
· Understanding of mechanical drawings and technical specifications.
· Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
· Good documentation and communication skills.
· Knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) to meet 9001 standards.
· Must be aware of 5S, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis, etc.
Education & Experience:
· Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.
· 2–5 years of experience in Quality Control within industrial machinery or the heavy engineering industry.
· Experience with ISO 9001:2015 and other quality standards preferred.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
