Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Executive/Senior Executive – Ocean Export Pricing to manage ocean freight pricing activities for our Freight Forwarding division. The ideal candidate should possess sound knowledge of ocean export and import pricing, carrier negotiations, and market trends to provide competitive freight solutions to customers and support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle pricing and rate procurement for Ocean Export and Import shipments.
- Obtain competitive freight rates and local charges from shipping lines, overseas agents, and service providers.
- Prepare and submit quotations to customers and internal sales teams within agreed timelines.
- Negotiate freight and local charges with shipping lines and vendors to maximize profitability.
- Maintain and update freight tariffs, carrier contracts, and pricing databases.
- Coordinate closely with Sales, Operations, and Customer Service teams for smooth execution of shipments.
- Monitor market trends, carrier schedules, surcharges, and freight fluctuations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, overseas agents, and vendors.
- Support the Sales team in RFQs, tenders, and customer-specific pricing requirements.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and operational procedures.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Minimum 3 to 4 years of experience in Ocean Export/Import Pricing within the Freight Forwarding industry.
- Strong knowledge of international shipping, freight pricing, trade lanes, and Incoterms.
- Good negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Excel and freight forwarding software/ERP systems.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple pricing enquiries efficiently.
