Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Biodegradable Products Technician cum Trainer for our SHG entrepreneurship and livelihood development program in Thana Kalan, Una, Himachal Pradesh. The candidate will be responsible for providing practical training to Self Help Groups (SHGs) and rural women in the production of eco-friendly disposable products such as dona, pattal, leaf plates, bowls, and biodegradable tableware, along with entrepreneurship and production management support.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct practical training sessions on manufacturing biodegradable and eco-friendly disposable products.
- Train participants in dona pattal making, leaf plate pressing, cutting, molding, finishing, and packaging techniques.
- Demonstrate operation and maintenance of manual and semi-automatic production machines.
- Ensure quality standards, hygiene, and safe production practices.
- Guide SHG members on raw material handling, storage, and inventory management.
- Train participants on product costing, pricing, packaging, branding, and local market opportunities.
- Support setup and management of small-scale production units.
- Maintain training records, attendance, production reports, and assessment documentation.
- Assist in entrepreneurship development, market linkage, and livelihood promotion activities.
- Promote sustainable and eco-friendly manufacturing practices within the community.
Eligibility Criteria
- Experience in biodegradable product manufacturing, dona pattal production, or related production activities.
- Minimum 1–3 years of practical experience in production or training preferred.
- Knowledge of machine handling, quality control, and eco-friendly manufacturing processes.
- Experience working with SHGs, women groups, or livelihood projects preferred.
- Good communication and practical demonstration skills.
