Plant Operations Manager (Intermediate Level)

Job Summary:
The Plant Head – Operations is responsible for overall plant performance, including production, quality, safety, maintenance, cost control, manpower management, and compliance with statutory and ISO requirements. The role ensures smooth plant operations and achievement of business targets. The Operations Manager supports the Plant Head in managing daily plant activities, ensuring smooth production, quality adherence, safety compliance, and effective manpower utilisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage end-to-end plant operations (Production, Maintenance, Quality, Stores & Utilities).
- Achieve production targets with optimum cost, quality, and safety.
- Implement and monitor SOPs, ISO systems, safety standards, and statutory compliance.
- Control and reduce manufacturing costs, wastage, and downtime.
- Ensure proper maintenance planning (preventive & breakdown maintenance).
- Handle audits (ISO, internal, external, customer, statutory).
- Develop and mentor department heads and senior staff.
- Coordinate with management for planning, budgeting, and capacity expansion.
- Ensure discipline, manpower planning, and performance management.
- Handle customer complaints, quality issues, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Supervise daily production operations and shift activities.
- Monitor machine performance, breakdowns, and maintenance coordination.
- Maintain production reports, logs, and ISO documentation.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Stores departments.
- Assist in reducing rejection, rework, and process losses.
- Train operators and supervisors for skill improvement.

Qualification:
- B.E./B.Tech (Mechanical/Chemical/Production/Industrial) or equivalent
- MBA (Operations) preferred
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
