Your impact
Roles & Responsibilities:
Candidate should possess following as a minimum:
Should lead a team of electrical engineers and designers for electrical activities of the project.
Engages in all electricals of the project assigned. Coordination with various stake holders like Client / various internal disciplines like Projects / Piping / Mechanical / Architect / Civil / Vendors. Ensure effective communications with all stakeholders. Ensure that site issues viz. Technical Queries, Non-conformity Notices are dealt effectively and expeditiously.
Responsible for successful delivery of electricals for the project and with minimum guidance. (See Detail Engineering below)
Responsibility of timely completion of designs, requisitions and engineering deliverables.
Adherence to Department Work Instruction and QMS Manual.
Participates in all Client facing and critical meetings to provide solutions to meet project objectives.
Monitor and Control Project schedule, Productivity, RLR, GM of the assigned Project.
Must be able to apply critical thinking and provide creative solutions to any design or site issues. Depute design engineer from team to site for troubleshooting as necessary.
Mentors, trains & encourages resources within the Team assigned to achieve desired project objectives.
Sharing the Knowledge with team Members and upgrading Electrical Database, whilst taking care of Non-Disclosure Agreement for ongoing and completed projects.
Detail Engineering including :
Basis of Design, Load list, review of SLD for optimization of Power distribution.
Power distribution from 33kV / 22kV and downstream based on power ratings of equipment to various voltage levels 11kV / 6.6kV / 3.3kV & 415V. Other national standard voltage levels for GID project.
Calculations for Transformer sizing. DG set sizing, UPS (Static / Rotary) and Battery Charger (DC UPS) sizing.
Cable sizing calculation and review of Cable Schedule.
Prepare or review of Electrical Equipment Specifications and Data Sheets and Electrical for Packages.
Equipment Layout while meeting NBC/CEIG/ Electricity Rules for Indian projects; and respective country National Standards for GID projects.
Review of design drawings and calculations for optimization.
Inter-department coordination and Squad check.
Requisitions, TBE, Vendor document review of Electrical and Package Equipment.
Tender document and MTO review for value added inputs to have minimum quantity variations during erection
Review of System studies ETAP-LF/SC/Arc-Flash/Harmonics.
Knowledge of Relay settings is added advantage.
Inspection of specialized electrical equipment, if required.
Here's what you'll need
Skills:
13 + years of total experience in handling Electrical Design activities. Of the above, at least 3 years as Lead Electrical Engineer.
B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with First Class.
Prepare / review Basis of Design, Load List, SLDs, Layouts, MTO, Procurement assistance.
Hands on experience of Indian and International codes for the design.
Self-driven with good leadership & reporting capabilities.
Knowledge of 3D engineering, proficiency in review of 3D models using Navisworks is mandatory.
Knowledge of Electrical codes & standards (IS / IEC / NBC) is mandatory.
