Job Purpose
To manufacture, fit, assemble, repair, and maintain gears, shafts, housings, and other mechanical components using conventional and CNC machine tools while ensuring compliance with engineering drawings, quality requirements, and safety procedures.
Key ResponsibilitiesMachining Operations
- Operate conventional machines such as:
- Centre lathes
- Milling machines
- Drilling machines
- Slotting machines
- Surface and cylindrical grinders
- Perform turning, facing, threading, boring, and taper turning operations.
- Machine gear blanks according to engineering specifications.
Fitting and Assembly
- Fit and assemble gears, shafts, bearings, couplings, and gearboxes.
- Perform alignment and adjustment of mechanical assemblies.
- Conduct hand-finishing operations such as filing, scraping, deburring, and polishing.
Gear Manufacturing Support
- Assist in gear cutting operations (hobbing, shaping, broaching, or milling).
- Check gear dimensions, tooth profiles, and tolerances.
- Support heat-treatment and finishing processes when required.
Pay: ₹9,014.58 - ₹12,000.00 per month
