Job Description: Application Specialist – DR & Digital Radio-fluoroscopy (RF)

Role Overview
The Application Specialist is a critical clinical-technical bridge for our X-ray Imaging
Division. You will be responsible for the PAN India implementation, training, and clinical
optimization of both Digital Radiography (DR) and Digital Radio-fluoroscopy (RF)
systems. Your goal is to ensure that healthcare providers achieve the highest diagnostic
accuracy while maximizing equipment utility across both static and dynamic imaging
modalities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Clinical Applications & System Optimization
- Comprehensive Training: Conduct on-site clinical applications training for
Radiologists and
Technologists covering the full spectrum of imaging:
o DR: General radiography, stitching (long-length imaging), and paediatric protocols.
o RF: Real-time dynamic studies (Barium swallow/meal, IVP, HSG) and minor
interventional procedures.
- Workflow Engineering: Expertly configure the system to transition seamlessly
between DR (snapshot) and RF (live) modes, ensuring the workflow in high-volume
rooms is eƯicient.
- Image Excellence: Fine-tune post-processing parameters (windowing, leveling, and
noise reduction) for both static X-rays and high-frame-rate fluoroscopic video.
2. Pre-Sales & Competitive Strategy
- Dual-Modality Demos: Execute high-stakes clinical demonstrations that showcase
the versatility of our systems in handling both routine X-rays and complex fluoroscopic
exams.
- Comparative Benchmarking: Maintain and circulate technical comparison charts
highlighting our advantages over competitors in both DR and RF categories (e.g., dose
eƯiciency, detector sensitivity, table manoeuvrability).
- Technical Tendering: Prepare technical compliance and "lock-in" specifications for
PAN India tenders, ensuring our hardware and software features are positioned as the
gold standard.
3. Radiation Safety & Dose Management
- Safety Protocols: Implement dose-reduction strategies (Pulse Fluoroscopy, virtual
collimation) to ensure compliance with AERB guidelines and the ALARA principle.
- Quality Assurance: Assist the service team and customers in routine QA tests to
ensure the tube and detector performance meet international diagnostic standards.
4. Market Intelligence & KOL Engagement
- KOL Development: Cultivate relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) by
assisting them in advanced clinical research or specialized case studies using our
equipment.
- Market Feedback: Monitor and report on competitor activities and new technology
launches (such as AI-aided DR or 3D Fluoroscopy) to the National Head on a quarterly
basis.
5. Internal Training & Reporting
- Team Upskilling: Train the direct sales and dealer teams on the fundamental physics
and unique selling points (USPs) of both DR and RF systems.
- Installation Tracker: Maintain an accurate, monthly-updated database of the PAN
India installation base, categorized by system type and software version.
Qualification & Skill Requirements
- Education: B.Sc / M.Sc in Medical Imaging Technology (MIT) or a Diploma in
Radiography.
- Technical Experience: 1–6 years of experience in medical imaging applications.
Proven expertise in High-end DR (Fixed/Mobile) and RF Tables is mandatory.
- Travel: Ability to travel across diƯerent regions of India.
- Communication: Fluency in English and Hindi. The ability to translate complex
technical specs into clinical benefits for doctors is essential.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
1. Clinical Adoption: Ensuring customers use advanced features (like Auto-Stitching or
Pulse-Fluoro)
post-installation.
2. Sales Support: Impact on the conversion rate of pre-sale demonstrations.
3. Customer Satisfaction: High scores in post-training feedback from Radiologists and
Technicians.
4. Reporting Accuracy: Timely submission of competitive analysis and installation
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
