We are looking for a responsible and organized Store Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing store. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient inventory management, timely material receipts and dispatches, proper stock control, and accurate documentation while coordinating closely with the purchase, production, and accounts departments.
Graduates are preferred. Candidates with prior experience in store management or storekeeping, especially in a manufacturing environment, will be given preference.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inward and outward movement of raw materials, finished goods, and consumables.
- Maintain accurate stock records and inventory registers.
- Ensure proper storage, identification, and handling of materials.
- Coordinate with the Production and Purchase departments for material planning.
- Prepare GRN, BMR, and other store-related documentation.
- Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Monitor stock levels and initiate timely reorder requests.
- Ensure FIFO inventory practices wherever applicable.
- Maintain housekeeping, cleanliness, and safety standards within the store.
- Supervise loading, unloading, packing, and dispatch activities.
- Coordinate with logistics and transporters for timely dispatches.
- Maintain proper records in Tally software and MS Excel.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and inventory control procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline (Graduates preferred).
- Diploma holders with relevant experience may also apply.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in Store Management, Storekeeping, Inventory Management, or Warehouse Operations.
- Experience in a manufacturing company will be an added advantage.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of inventory management practices.
- Basic computer proficiency (MS Excel, Word, ERP/software).
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of FIFO, stock reconciliation, and inventory control is desirable.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Preference will be given to candidates who have:
- Previous experience as a Store Manager or Storekeeper.
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial stores.
- Knowledge of inventory software or ERP systems.
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
