The Market Research & Bid Management Executive role combines Global Market Research and Bid Management responsibilities. The primary objective is to identify, analyze, and qualify global business opportunities across target sectors before they enter the formal tender stage.
The candidate will support business growth by conducting structured market research, monitoring global procurement platforms, and coordinating bid documentation and submissions. This is not merely a documentation role—it requires strong analytical thinking, research capabilities, and opportunity evaluation skills.
Key ResponsibilitiesMarket Research & Intelligence (Primary Focus)
- Track global procurement portals such as UNGM, Devex, AfDB, World Bank, and government procurement websites.
- Identify early-stage opportunities, including RFIs, EOIs, and upcoming tenders.
- Conduct country-level market research for target sectors such as National ID, Telecom, Healthcare, and related industries.
- Map system integrators, distributors, and potential partners across different regions.
- Analyze competitor participation trends and historical contract awards.
- Prepare structured opportunity assessment and market intelligence reports for management.
Tender & Bid Management (Secondary Focus)
- Review tender documents, including RFPs, RFQs, and EOIs.
- Extract and analyze eligibility, technical, commercial, and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate internally for the collection of required documentation and information.
- Prepare compliance matrices, bid documentation, and supporting materials.
- Ensure timely submission and proper tracking of bids and tenders.
- Maintain tender databases, bid trackers, and reporting dashboards.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Number of qualified opportunities identified per month.
- Quality and accuracy of opportunity analysis reports.
- Success rate of early-stage partner mapping and engagement.
- Accuracy and timeliness of bid submissions.
- Improvement in bid hit rates through effective opportunity qualification.
- Efficiency and organization of tracking, reporting, and documentation systems.
Required Skills
- Strong reading comprehension and analytical skills.
- Excellent research capabilities using online portals, industry reports, and government websites.
- Ability to summarize and present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tracking, analysis, and data management.
- Strong written communication and documentation skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage deadlines effectively.
- Interest in global markets, procurement processes, and identity technology solutions.
