Job Summary
We are looking for a result-driven Account Director / Sales Head to lead client acquisition and revenue growth for our advertising agency based in Kolkata. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in agency sales, client servicing, and business development, with the ability to convert leads into long-term retainer clients.
This is a leadership role with direct impact on revenue, client relationships, and overall growth strategy.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Revenue Growth
- Generate new business leads through networking, references, and outbound efforts
- Pitch agency services (branding, digital marketing, creative, media, etc.)
- Close high-value retainers and campaign-based projects
- Achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets
Client Relationship Management
- Act as a strategic point of contact for key accounts
- Build long-term relationships with clients
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities
Strategy & Team Coordination
- Work closely with creative, digital, and servicing teams to ensure smooth execution
- Provide strategic direction during client pitches
- Monitor account performance and profitability
Market Positioning
- Represent the agency in networking events and industry forums
- Identify new market opportunities within Kolkata and beyond
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5–8 years of experience in advertising agency sales / business development
- Strong understanding of branding, digital marketing, and campaign planning
- Proven track record of revenue generation
- Excellent pitching and negotiation skills
- Strong communication and leadership ability
- Well-networked within the Kolkata business ecosystem (preferred)
