Job Summary
A data conversion analyst safely moves, cleans, and transforms data from old systems into new databases or software platforms. They write mapping rules, test migration runs, and fix data errors to ensure business systems work correctly.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze source system data models and understand target system requirements.
Design and develop ETL jobs, mappings, and transformation logic.
Implement data cleansing, filtering, and validation rules.
Perform data loads for mock, test, and production cycles.
Investigate and resolve load errors and data quality issues.
Support reconciliation activities (counts, totals, key field checks).
Maintain technical documentation and ETL job inventories.
Support cutover execution and post load validation.
Skill Requirements
5–9.9 years of experience in data conversion, ETL, or data engineering roles.
Strong hands on experience with ETL tools (SAP BODS preferred).
Proficiency in SQL, data analysis, and relational databases.
Experience supporting multiple mock loads and high volume data migrations.
Strong problem solving and debugging skills.
Prior exposure to SAP S/4HANA or ECC data migration projects.
Knowledge of migration best practices and reconciliation techniques.
Experience working in agile or hybrid delivery models.
