Key Responsibilities
- Handling import shipment coordination from booking till shipment completion.
- Preparing and sending competitive rate quotations to customers and overseas agents.
- Negotiating freight and local charges with carriers, overseas agents, transporters, and vendors.
- Coordinating shipment bookings and operational processing with overseas agents.
- Sending timely pre-alerts and shipment updates to customers.
- Maintaining DSR (Daily Status Report) and shipment tracking records.
- Coordinating with CHA, transport division, shipping lines, and local vendors for smooth shipment movement.
- Following up on shipment arrivals, clearance status, and transportation arrangements.
- Ensuring proper documentation and operational compliance.
- Maintaining professional communication with customers, agents, and internal departments.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- 2–3 years of experience in Import Customer Service within the freight forwarding / logistics industry.
- Good understanding of import operations and shipment handling.
- Knowledge of Incoterms and shipping documentation.
- Strong coordination, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple shipments and priorities efficiently.
- Proficiency in MS Office and email communication.
- Graduate in Logistics, Supply Chain, Commerce, or related field preferred.
- Experience working on freight forwarding software / ERP systems will be an added advantage.
