About the Role
Euro International School is seeking a passionate, energetic, and student-focused Pickleball Coach to develop and lead the school’s pickleball program. The coach will be responsible for training students across various age groups, promoting sportsmanship and discipline, preparing teams for competitions, and contributing to the overall sports culture of the school.
Key ResponsibilitiesCoaching & Student Development
- Conduct structured pickleball training sessions for students across different grades and skill levels.
- Teach and develop fundamental, intermediate, and advanced pickleball techniques.
- Improve students’ physical fitness, agility, coordination, and game awareness.
- Identify talented students and provide specialized coaching for competitive participation.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress and provide regular feedback.
Competition & Tournament Management
- Prepare school teams for inter-school, district, state, and national-level competitions.
- Organize internal matches, leagues, sports events, and pickleball tournaments.
- Develop match strategies and provide coaching during competitions.
- Ensure proper selection and preparation of teams representing the school.
Sports Program & Administration
- Maintain attendance, training records, performance reports, and player development data.
- Ensure proper usage, maintenance, and inventory management of pickleball equipment and courts.
- Assist in planning and executing annual sports events, sports days, camps, and extracurricular activities.
- Coordinate with school leadership regarding sports planning and performance updates.
Student Engagement & Discipline
- Foster discipline, teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship among students.
- Create a safe, positive, and motivating learning environment.
- Encourage student participation in sports and physical activities.
- Act as a mentor and role model for students both on and off the court.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all training activities follow safety guidelines and school policies.
- Monitor student well-being during practices and competitions.
- Report injuries, incidents, or concerns promptly to school authorities.
QualificationsEssential
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
- Certification, formal training, or demonstrated expertise in Pickleball or related racquet sports.
- Minimum 2 years of coaching experience in schools, academies, clubs, or sports institutions.
- Strong understanding of pickleball rules, techniques, and competitive play.
- Excellent communication and student management skills.
Preferred
- Experience coaching school teams and preparing students for competitive tournaments.
- Participation in district, state, national, or professional-level racquet sports competitions.
- First Aid and CPR Certification.
- Experience organizing sports events and inter-school competitions.
