Job Description
We are seeking an experienced ELD Compliance & Log Auditor to join our trucking operations team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing ELD platforms and ensuring FMCSA Hours of Service (HOS) compliance. You will work directly with drivers to resolve log issues, monitor violations, and maintain regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and audit electronic logs daily to ensure compliance with FMCSA Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Identify, document, and resolve logging violations, including unassigned driving time, form & manner errors, and log falsifications.
- Provide support to drivers during roadside inspections, ELD technical issues, and HOS-related questions.
- Review and manage log edits, Personal Conveyance (PC), Yard Move (YM), and exemption requests.
- Prepare compliance reports and maintain accurate safety records for management.
- Monitor driver hours and proactively address potential HOS violations.
- Coordinate with dispatch and safety teams to ensure continuous compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience managing ELD platforms in the US trucking industry.
- Hands-on experience with Motive (KeepTruckin), Samsara, Omnitracs, or similar ELD systems.
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Understanding of:
- 11-hour driving rule
- 14-hour duty limit
- 30-minute break rule
- 60/70-hour cycle rules
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to troubleshoot ELD hardware/software and resolve driver log issues in real time.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced trucking environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a trucking safety or compliance department.
- Experience handling roadside inspections and DOT compliance.
- Familiarity with telematics systems and fleet management software.
